Memorial Day is a holiday, honoring members of the United States Armed Forces who have died in war or while serving their country. Originally called Decoration Day, following the Civil War, wherein the living would honor their military dead by decorating their graves. This tradition endures, especially at military cemeteries like Arlington National Cemetery where an American flag is placed on every grave. In non-military cemeteries the fallen are likewise honored, usually by friends and relatives, but all are encouraged to pay their respects. A solemn day, a day of remembrance for those who made the greatest sacrifice, in the service of others.

To the many gentlemen members of who have served in the United States Armed Services, both past and present, the Staff at extend our thanks and gratitude.
