What tips can you give me on writing a Russian Love Match profile?

One of the most frequent questions that gentlemen ask is what information should be in their profiles? Your member profile is often the first thing a lady sees of you and ensuring you include enough information without going overboard can seem extremely tricky. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be, as long as you follow these steps:

Be Complete!

The Profile in includes two major sections you can use to describe aspects of yourself: The “About Me” section and the “Looking For” section. Both of these sections are useful both to you, and to the ladies who may be interested in contacting you, so it is important to be as thorough as you can be. Describing yourself as “A Man” and stating that you are looking for “A Woman” is a very vague way of communicating. Nobody will understand anything about you from a description like that, so it is important to fill these sections with good, descriptive, pertinent information about you. Be sure to pay special attention to the “Looking For” section, as what a man looks for in a lady can tell as much as, if not more than, his self-description.

Be Truthful!

One of the biggest stereotypes about online and international dating is that a lady can have a selection of photos and statistics that are wildly inaccurate, and when a gentleman goes to meet her, he is disappointed. It’s important to understand that while Russian Love Match works to ensure the validity of ladies’ profiles and photographs, we expect our gentlemen to be just as truthful as they expect the ladies to be. This means reporting your correct height and weight, posting pictures of yourself rather than an actor you like and entering in your actual age rather than shaving off the odd decade or two. Believe us, if a lady is truly interested in you she will be interested in you whether you are 22, 42 or 102, but nothing can turn a person off like catching their admirer in a lie. Being truthful is paramount to establishing trust in a relationship and if you are looking into the online dating world your profile is a portrait of you for the world to see. Make sure your depiction is accurate.

Be Appropriate!

It doesn’t happen a lot, but every so often we need to delete a gentleman’s profile for containing inappropriate material. Now this doesn’t always mean rude pictures or curse words, frequently it could be that someone decided to try and avoid entering in a description by hitting the same character or word over and over again, or posted pictures of their truck, dog, or favorite vacation spot instead of themselves, or even just included an “About Me” section that didn’t actually contain any information about them. Make sure that when you are sending in pictures, they’re appropriate. Think about it this way – if the picture isn’t something you’d send to your Mom, maybe you should rethink it. If everything goes well in your relationships, they very well may be seen by your lady’s Mom and if you do go to meet her parents you may later regret all those pictures you sent of you in your Speedos. The same goes with your “About Me” and “Looking For” sections. Describing yourself is important, but a ¼ page story about your cat or merely typing the word “Love” over and over again in the “Looking For” section will only make a lady more wary about contacting you.
