Will Distance Drive You Apart or Bring You Closer?

27. January 2012 by Christy 0 Comments

There are two old sayings that could apply to the relationships formed on – “absence makes the heart grow fonder” and “out of sight out of mind.” Which saying applies in your relationship is up to you.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind?

Indeed, it’s easy to forget someone who isn’t around on a daily basis. However, long distance relationships aren’t doomed to fail as the saying seems to suggest. First, though you may be out of a Russian woman’s sight, it’s easy to stay in touch nowadays. Modern technologies like phones, e-mail, and video chat weren’t around when the phrase “out of sight, out of mind” came about so it really doesn’t apply anymore. If you’re worried a special Russian woman will forget you, than make it a point to talk to her every day, be it by email, instant message, or video chat. Talk about your daily routines and ask your lady how she spends her time. This will help the two of you feel connected. It’s also a good idea to visit your Russian sweetheart as often as possible.

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder?

This old saying claims that being apart from someone makes you love them more. If this is true than Russian dating relationships are bound to succeed as the nature of Russian dating means couples are often thousands of miles apart. However, men shouldn’t get too complacent. While Russian women may sigh over distant lovers, they also wonder if they’ll ever see their special man or if he is a notorious “Keyboard Romeo,” someone who woos women online but never visits them in person. In certain cases, absence may indeed make the heart grow fonder, but extended or permanent absences can also make the heart forget. If you want to hold on to that special Russian woman you’ll need to visit and/or pop the question before she loses all hope.

Ultimately, you and a special Russian lady are the only ones who can determine if the distance between you will bring you closer or drive you apart.
