Worried About Russian Dating Scams?

26. June 2013 by Christy 0 Comments

While many men are curious about Russian women, scam concerns stop them from giving Russian Love Match a try. Sound familiar? Here are three types of scammers men fret about and how RLM fights back against dishonest individuals.

Paid to Chat Scammers

Paid to chat scams are a common concern among Russian daters. Many men worry that the women on Russian dating sites earn money for chatting and flirting with Western men and that they’re not really interested in finding a match. We understand this concern which is why we only work with reputable agencies throughout Russia and Ukraine. Additionally, each woman on Russian Love Match must attest, on video, that she is using the service of her own free will and will not accept money to chat with Western men. This is what’s known as a Validation Video.

Money and Gift Scammers

Similarly, men also worry that the women on Russian dating sites only want money and gifts. That’s why we forbid women from asking members for cash or presents and deactivate women who violate this policy. If a woman asks you for gifts, notify a member of our customer service team so we can address the matter. Agreeing not to ask for money or gifts is also part of each woman’s Validation Video.

False Identity Scammers

Another common concern about Russian dating is that the women pictured online aren’t the same women chatting and flirting with Western men. To ensure each woman is who she claims to be, Russian Love Match requires each lady submit a valid form of picture I.D. before we activate her profile. Many women also appear on camera via our live video streaming feature, so men can see, for themselves, that the women pictured on Russian Love Match are real.
