Thinking of heading to the Ukraine any time soon? Why not plan your visit in the Spring? Here are a few things to know about traveling to Ukraine in the months of April, May, and June.
If you’re still debating about which season to head abroad, keep in mind that spring is an excellent time to visit. The weather isn’t too hot or too cold, nature is stirring to life, and there’s a sense of excitement in the air. In fact, many travel sites say spring (late April to early June) is the best time to head to Ukraine.
“Perfumed chestnut trees bloom and people throw off heavy winter coats,” Lonely Planet writes. “There’s a sense of reawakening as cafés set out pavement seating and hikers take the heights of the Carpathian and Crimean Mountains.”
Pleasant spring weather makes for idyllic excursions. Many tourists enjoy hiking, taking a river cruise, attending an outdoor concert, or just strolling through the park. Plus, you won’t have to deal with hordes of people as most tourists travel during the months of summer. Traveling in a less crowded season can also mean cheaper airfare and better deals on food and lodging.
