Valentine's Day Gift Decisions

8. February 2011 by Christy 0 Comments

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and many men are scrambling to make gift decisions. Some gentlemen aren’t sure what to send while others are unsure if they should send a gift at all. Here’s some basic guidance.

To Send or Not to Send a Gift

The ladies, of course, like to receive gifts, but members are not obligated to send anything. Though men feel a lot of pressure to give women presents on Valentine’s Day, a gift is basically a worthless trinket if there is no feeling behind it. If you sincerely want to wish a lady a happy Valentine’s Day or make her feel special, then by all means send a gift. However, don’t feel forced. The decision, ultimately, is up to you. Just keep in mind that ladies in more serious relationships may be hurt if a suitor doesn't acknowledge Valentine's Day at all.

Deciding What to Send

Gentlemen who do decide to buy gifts will then need to decide what to send. Not sure what to give a special lady? If you and a Russian woman are just starting to build a relationship, you may want to select a small, yet thoughtful gift like flowers, candy, or a stuffed animal. In a more serious relationship? Consider jewelry or English lessons. You can also, of course, ask a lady what kind of gifts she prefers, though she may wish to be surprised. Although the ladies are strictly forbidden from requesting gifts, gentlemen are free to inquire about personal preferences. If none of the gifts in the RLM shop appeal to you, consider writing a love letter or poem. There is, however, one gift you shouldn’t send a woman on and that’s cash (unless the two of you have completed the Intimacy Request process, and even then it’s iffy).
