Roshen Chocolate Factories and Candy Stores

8. February 2011 by Michelle 0 Comments

While there are several different companies in Ukraine that produce premium chocolate, Roshen is one of the best. Named after its owner, Petro Poroshenko, the company makes over 200 varieties of candies, cakes, cookies, and chocolate bars.

There are 4 factories in the Ukrainian cities of Vinnitsa, Mariupol, Kremenchuk, and the largest Karl Marx factory in Kyiv. Klaipeda in Lithuania and Lipetsk in Russia have Roshen factories as well.

One of the factors that make Roshen chocolates so delicious is their unique combination of cacao beans, which come from South America, West Africa, and Oceania. They also make their own dairy products such as milk, cream, and butter. Plus, Roshen was the first Ukrainian chocolate company to mix nougat, honey, and almonds into their creations.

The Roshen team of chocolatiers includes specialists from Switzerland, Holland, and Germany. This combined international experience makes it possible to produce affordable products famous for high chocolate content.

The company gives back to the community as well, with various nonprofit projects. The Children’s Entertainment Center was recently opened at the Vinnitsa confectionary, where classes of students enjoy Ukraine’s only fully automated, interactive, educational center. Roshen also has an on-going project of building playgrounds, with over 80 located all over Ukraine.

If you or your Ukrainian lady has a sweet tooth, why not visit one of the many Roshen candy stores or factories for a tour?
