But, it can be hard to fit exercise into your busy life. This is why some health experts recommend min-workouts to help you bridge the gap.
To keep healthy, everyone should get at least thirty minutes of exercise at least three times a week. But, some experts say that you can also benefit by squeezing in three ten minute workouts in place of thirty minutes of activity done all at once. A few ideas for getting those mini-workouts:
Before you leave the house in the morning, spend about ten minute stretching. Regular flexibility training helps increase your range of motion, reduces your chances of injuries, and reduces pain levels. It even can help improve your posture, which makes you look better, too!
When you head out of the office for lunch, take a ten minute walk. Keep up a brisk pace while you are walking so that you get a bit of cardio exercise. You’ll feel more energized for the rest of the day.
Do strength training when you get home from work at the end of the day. Lift weights, or do some push-ups or pull-ups. Be sure to vary the strength exercises you do so that you get a thorough work-out. Be sure to increase the intensity gradually, so that you are always challenging yourself, but you don’t overdo it.
