Going to Moscow? Take a Cruise on the Moscow River

24. November 2009 by Daniel 0 Comments

If your looking for that perfect rpmantic location to take your Russian lady on your first visit to Moscow, look no further than the Moskva-Reka (Moscow River).

Starting this month, five ice-breaking cruise ships will take up to 200 guests each on cruises of the river. The ships are each capable of sailing through the ice that coats the river during Moscow’s frigid winters.

Each ship cost $2 million to construct. They were assembled at a Turkish dockyard and are currently docked at the Radisson Royal Hotel Moscow, the Stalin-era hotel previously known as Ukraina. The hotel, which has recently undergone remodeling, will soon revamp its neighboring waterfront for the installation of docking facilities.

The cruises last two hours and are expected to run several times a day. Passengers will be served either breakfast, lunch, or dinner, depending on the time of day the cruise departs.

You can book your cruise today at www.radisson-cruise.ru.
