Getting to Know a Russian Woman Online: Email Dont's

11. December 2009 by Christy 0 Comments

Russian dating, like traditional dating, has its fair share of do's and dont's. When getting to know a Russian lady online there are certain things a gentleman should do when composing and sending emails. Here's what NOT to do.

Be inappropriate

As we’ve said many times before, emails of a sexual nature are simply not appropriate (especially in the introductory phase of a relationship). Ladies who receive sexual messages are likely to think the man who sent them is only interested in sex. As the majority of the women on RussianLoveMatch are seriously seeking a long-term relationship, they are unlikely to be excited or impressed by such advances. Keep your emails clean and respectful and you’ll likely get much better results.

Send lengthy emails

Try to keep your first few emails short and simple. Long messages can overwhelm the ladies, especially those who are not fluent in English (i.e. most of them). A good introductory email will include some basic information about you and perhaps one or two questions for the lady to answer.  Avoid sending a list of essay-style questions. This can overwhelm even a native speaker. You do not need to know her life story, nor does she need to know yours. There’s no need to rush things.

Pressure her for a response

The vast majority of Russian and Ukrainian women do not have access to a home computer so they cannot reply to emails as quickly as the gentlemen might like. If you have sent an introductory email to a Russian lady, be patient. Don’t set a timeframe for a response. Don’t demand to know why a lady hasn’t responded to a particular email. And certainly don’t accuse her of being a scammer if she cannot or will not reply. Remember, the women on RussianLoveMatch.com are free to do as they wish and are not paid or required to reply to every email they receive. If you pressure a lady to respond you risk being seen as desperate, obnoxious, or both.

The "getting to know you" phase is an important part of courting a Russian woman. Don't jeopardize your chances for love by sending long emails, pressuring a lady to respond, or behaving inappropriately. Good luck and have fun!
