Dine Among Raindrops, Tornadoes at Twister

5. September 2012 by Michelle 0 Comments

Designer Sergey Makhno believes that his imaginative vision is a combination of contradictory backgrounds and creation of artistic mixes from seemingly incompatible things. That vision is certainly evident at Twister, a restaurant which resembles a rainforest, complete with bird's nests and tornadoes.

The bar room is made of wooden sticks stuck together, creating the feeling of a bird’s nest where guests feel warm and cozy. The armchairs are designed to resemble coniferous cones and fruits you'd find in the forest. It's impossible not to relax and enjoy a beverage in this environment.

The two-storied dining area was inspired by two natural phenomenas: tornado and rain. The space features six tornado-shaped balconies which create one dynamic upper zone with five dining cells. The walls are lined with wooden slats which create contrast to the balconies smooth surfaces. The ceiling lamps imitate rain drops falling from the sky.

The entire restaurant's interior is styled with natural tones -- beige, ochre, garnet, brown -- to provide a relaxing, romantic meal ideal for a date with your favorite Ukrainian girl. Plus, this eatery is more than just a feast for the eyes as the mouth-watering molecular style menu is sure to please.
