Character Limits and Russian Love Match

11. September 2012 by Christy 0 Comments

Confused about RLM's character limits? Here are a few important things you should know.

The character limit on Russian Love Maatch is 3,800 characters. We define characters as letters, numbers, and punctuation marks as well as spaces. Line breaks (pressing Enter on keyboard) count as two characters. Subject lines also count towards the character limit. (EDIT: As of 9/26/12, spaces, line breaks, and subject lines no longer count towards a man's character limit)

It’s important to keep in mind that counting characters in Word will not get you the same results as counting characters on Russian Love Match. This is because Word calculates characters differently. While Word might give you a general idea about the number of characters you’ve used, it’s not something you should rely on to stay within your limit.

Do you have trouble staying within the allotted number of characters? Read over your message and delete any words or sentences that are redundant or unnecessary. Removing excessive punctuation and emoticons may also help.

While some men might object to shortening their messages, character limits are actually useful in that they encourage clarity. Clear, succinct emails are easier for Russian women to understand and can help couples avoid misunderstandings and breakdowns in communication. Longer messages aren't always better.

Good luck in your communication with beautiful Russian women!
