Amazing Artwork at Lychakiv Cemetery

A trip to a cemetery may not be your idea of a romantic date with your Russian bride, but the Lychakiv Cemetery is more like an outdoor museum, and is known as one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in Europe.

 

Located in Lviv, Ukraine, thousands of tourists each year enjoy the guided tours and are often awestruck by the grief, strength, and sacrifice that is remarkably portrayed in the sculptures and monuments at every grave site. Over 400,000 are laid to rest at this cemetery, from the most elite politicians, scientists, and artists, to middle and lower class families and soldiers.
